Cookie Policy
How and why we use cookies on lookd.
Last updated: February 15, 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide security features, and give website operators useful information.
2. Our Approach to Cookies
lookd takes a privacy-first approach. We only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the functioning of our platform. We do not use:
- Tracking or analytics cookies
- Advertising or marketing cookies
- Third-party social media cookies
- Cross-site tracking cookies
Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, no cookie consent banner is required under the GDPR and ePrivacy Directive. These cookies are exempt from consent requirements as they are essential for providing the service you requested.
3. Cookies We Use
The following cookies are set when you use lookd:
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Authentication session token. Keeps you logged in and verifies your identity on each request. | Session / 1 year | Strictly Necessary |
| sb-*-auth-token-code-verifier | PKCE code verifier for secure OAuth authentication flows (e.g., Google login). | Session | Strictly Necessary |
These cookies are set by our authentication provider (Supabase) and are essential for secure login and session management. They do not track your browsing behavior or collect personal information beyond what is needed for authentication.
4. Local Storage
In addition to cookies, we use your browser's local storage for the following purposes:
| Key | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|
| lookd_active_brand_id | Remembers your last selected brand so the dashboard opens to the correct brand on your next visit. | Strictly Necessary |
Local storage data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers. It is automatically cleared when you clear your browser data.
5. Managing Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling our authentication cookies will prevent you from logging into lookd.
Here is how to manage cookies in common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Cookies and site data
6. Changes to This Policy
If we introduce new types of cookies in the future (for example, analytics cookies), we will update this policy and implement a cookie consent mechanism as required by law before deploying them.
