Terms of Service

By creating an account on or using lookd ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. We recommend reading these Terms carefully before creating an account.

lookd is an AI brand monitoring platform that helps businesses track and improve their brand visibility across AI assistants, including ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity. The Service provides:

• Monitoring of AI model responses for brand mentions and sentiment
• Analysis of brand visibility, positioning, and share of voice
• AI-generated recommendations for improving brand visibility
• Competitor tracking and comparison
• Automated periodic scans of configured prompts

Important Disclaimers

AI model responses are generated by third-party providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Perplexity) and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or change over time. lookd provides monitoring and analysis tools — not guarantees about AI behavior. The recommendations provided by lookd are AI-generated suggestions and should not be considered professional marketing, legal, or business advice.

To use lookd, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete registration information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You may not share your account credentials with others. If you wish to collaborate, use the brand sharing feature to invite team members with appropriate roles.

lookd offers the following subscription tiers:

• Free: Limited access with basic features at no cost.
• Starter ($39/month): Expanded features for individual professionals.
• Pro ($99/month): Full features for growing businesses.
• Agency ($249/month): Advanced features for agencies managing multiple brands.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. All prices are in USD and subject to applicable taxes (including VAT for EU customers). Prices may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

The Free tier provides limited access to lookd's features at no cost. Feature limitations for each tier are displayed on our pricing page. We reserve the right to modify Free tier limitations at any time.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or through the Stripe billing portal. Upon cancellation:

• Your paid features remain active until the end of your current billing period.
• After the billing period ends, your account reverts to the Free tier.
• Your data is retained and accessible under Free tier limitations.

We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at support@lookd.io within 14 days and we will review your case.

You agree not to use lookd to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or security measures
• Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to access the Service outside of the provided interface and APIs
• Monitor brands or keywords for purposes of harassment, defamation, or illegal competitive practices
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without written permission
• Submit prompts designed to elicit harmful, illegal, or abusive content from AI models

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Our Property: The lookd platform, including its design, code, algorithms, documentation, and branding, is owned by lookd and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as described herein.

Your Data: You retain ownership of all data you provide to lookd, including brand information, prompts, and configurations. You grant us a limited license to process this data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

AI-Generated Content: Responses from third-party AI models are subject to the terms of their respective providers. lookd does not claim ownership over AI-generated content. Our analysis and recommendations derived from this content are provided as part of the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
• We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI analysis results will be accurate or complete.
• Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless lookd and its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:

• Perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable advance notice where possible
• Modify, update, or discontinue features of the Service
• Adjust usage limits or features associated with subscription tiers

Material changes to paid features will be communicated with at least 30 days' notice.

By You: You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from your account settings. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed.

By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. We will provide reasonable notice unless immediate action is necessary to protect the Service or other users.

Sections 8 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Limitation of Liability), 10 (Indemnification), and 14 (Governing Law) survive termination.

lookd integrates with third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Perplexity) and payment processors (Stripe). Your use of these services through lookd is also subject to their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party services.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict of laws provisions. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) does not apply.

For consumers residing in the EU, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence apply where they provide greater protection.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Germany, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may cancel your subscription and delete your account before the changes take effect.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
